Developers of Longonot Gates resort have launched a marketing outfit for all their developments and projects. The outfit, Resorts & Cities Ltd, will act as the flagship company Longonot Gates, which is located in Naivasha, and other apartments, hotels and golf courses that the company will develop in coming years.
The chairman of the new holding company, Resorts & Cities Ltd, Mr Lee Karuri noted that most developers aspire to have a prominent brand in the real estate market, which makes it easier for them to sell the real estate products and services.
“… we are putting in place a brand association strategy; every real estate project we develop will have a distinct mark of quality and excellence associated with the Resort & Cities brand,” Mr Karuri is quoted to have remarked.
The company is in the process of developing an expansive resort on 2,400 acres: the Longonot Gates resort, which is coming up in Naivasha.
The company is targeting the development of gated residencies in each of the forty-seven counties in Kenya.
Consolata Gituto, the managing director of Resorts & Cities Ltd., noted that most Kenyans are looking for fresh opportunities that will give them a diverse and secure lifestyle with offerings in leisure, retirement and holiday residences that are located outside the main towns and cities. She observed that most potential home buyers are not only seeking to live in the serene countryside locations, but they are also looking at these destinations as viable investment options, especially for short-stay clients.
The Resorts & Cities Ltd. next target is Murang’a County, where it will develop a resort to serve the northern Kenya catchment areas, the east and central Kenya regions.
Other projects in the pipeline include Aberdare Hills Golf Resort and Leleshwa Homes, also to be located in Naivasha.
The 100 acres Leleshwa Homes project that was inaugurated early in 2016 will feature 500 residential units, a leisure park, a club house, and commercial units.
